It's Official

Well, it's official. Ali and I's duo-blogging-business is over. That's right, I'm(Morganne) branching out, and creating my own blog. Mainly so I just don't have to specify who's writing anymore(see first parentheses), and because we both just post our own stuff on our own time anyway. Idk if she'll just change this blog for hers, or create a whole new one, but we'll just have to see what happens there.

It's kind of a lame way to end a blog, but I want to know how all y'all's school-experience is going!! What classes do you like? Which ones do you despise? Haha, just let me know!

Personally, school is ok for me, and I think with one minor adjustment, I just might actually like going: NO MATH CLASS. Seriously, it's such a major pain for me. I hate math!! My favorite classes are the marine biology class I'm taking at Woods Cross, and my American History class, because we have so many brainless idiots in the class, and also because I sit next to the foreign exchange student from Denmark; Sophia. We're kinda friends, and she's tight, but she's only here for one semester, which makes me sad. :(

It's kinda funny though...in my marine biology class, we each get a shark egg that we have to "hatch"(do shark eggs even "hatch"??) and raise, but in my zoology class, we have to dissect a small species of shark later in the year. Kinda weird. And gross.






Well, all good things must come to an end, right?

Jack Johnson!!!!

so..yesterday..i was hanging out..when all of the sudden...out of the blue...my very dear friend Katie said "hey ali, i have a free ticket to jack johson, wanna go?" ......um YEAH!!! k, AWESOME concert! Jack Johnson is AMAZING! He sounds great live! I took some pictures but it was a little hard since I was far from the stage and JJ looked like an ant, so most of the pics were just of me and Katie. Anyway, here are some of the pics and a video from the concert..

SMACK. Reality hits.

Is it just me, or does time seem to be just flying by?? Holy cow, it seems like events in my life never cease to keep me busy, 24/7. And maybe this is just me again, but I wish the feeling and spirit of the Olympics could be here year-round. It seems like I'm growing up too fast, and maybe that's because... I am. Can you even believe that in two or so years, everyone will be going on missions, leaving for college, entering the real world?? I'M NOT READY FOR THAT!! I wanna be young, and carefree, and 6 again! I don't want responsibility. I want independence, but not the responsibility that comes with it. Ya know? Don't get me wrong, moving out ASAP after high school graduation is very near the top of my "life to-do list", but I can't say that I won't miss being in high school, and not having to pay for EVERYTHING. It's like yesterday, I was in second grade, worrying about getting to the swingset first at recess, and then I blinked, and here I am, a sixteen-year old junior in high school. High school. Can you believe it? Do you remember when you were in grade school, and you didn't know anyone who was in high school, because they seemed decades older than you? Well, now we're those unknowns!! And it's too crazy for me.

Missing In Action

...is how I feel. I feel like I haven't posted on here since before dinosaurs roamed the earth. But, I'm not MIA. In fact, I've just been pretty busy. Anyway, I just wanted to give a quick update on me, my life, and my hobbies. So here goes:


Not last week, but the week before, my club soccer team participated in the Adidas Strikerfest Soccer Tournament in Orem. We played a game on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and won all three. We played in the championship game(once again, might I add :) on Saturday, and it was crazy intense. At the end of regulation time, we were tied 1-1, so we went to overtime, where we were still tied at the end of that too. So, we went to the dreaded, feared, infamous shootout. Believe me, these are sooo nervewracking. I shot and scored in that, and we ended up winning the whole tournament; first place.(once again, might I add :) Expect that picture in the Clipper sometime soon too. (haha, I seem so full of myself, but I'm really not.)


I got in my first car accident on Monday, July 28!! It was so scary, and kind of ironic, because we were on the freeway, and the policeman in back of me rear-ended me. When does that happen to you?? I guess it wasn't his fault though, because the car in back of him hit the policeman into me, and me into the car in front of me. It's all ok now though, because my car's fine(dang dang dang dang dang), the other cars are fine, and me and my sister are both ok, although when we were hit from behind, my sister was playing on her "Nintendo DS", and it hit her in the head. I was sooo tempted to write "head lump caused by Nintendo DS" on the injury line when filling out the report.


I've seen Dark Knight twice now, and I still love love love it!! I'm going a third time too, because the stupid theaters I went to didn't show any Twilight trailers, which I'm totally stoked for.


I LOVE "THE TWILIGHT SAGA"!! I really do think that I'm obsessed. I don't know why I didn't start reading them earlier(actually, I do, because I don't like reading books that everybody has read. I like finding my own "buried treasure" :)! I LOVE THE WHOLE SERIES!!


I think it's possible for me to be moved into my new room by the end of this year. We've got most of our downstairs finished, and now we're beginning to paint. Our upstairs is still a mess though. Someday, somehow, I WILL have my own room.

Colorado

From July 14-19, Morganne and I went to Colorado for the Pikes Peak Invitational soccer tournament, where I guest-played on Morganne's team and had so so so so so so much fun. Her team really is awesome! The girls are great! It was a totally sweet tournament because we played a lot of out of state teams, and there were several college scouts at most of the games. ..And it was at the college that I am interested in going to once i graduate :)

Oh and can i mention that Morganne scored in the championship game!!!!!???? It was totally frickin sweet!! One of the coolest goals I've ever seen! She had been waiting for that goal the whole tournament and she really deserved it :) good job mo! Thanks for inviting me to the tournament. I had so much fun spending the week with you. Living with you in a hotel room for a week was a blast! There are so many things i won't forget! haha, we need to watch jon and kate plus 8 again :)

Copying Morganne...TWICE

Sorry Morganne. I'm extremely bored and I don't know what to write about so I'm going to copy you twice. Here is an update of my life, and the 10 hottest men I've ever seen :)

It is summer! :D I'm really not that busy..and it is hard to write this after Morganne's post on her average week..I sound lazy.

Job: still employed at Papa Murphys. Key word there-EMPLOYED. Doesn't mean I actually work. haha-jk, my boss got mad at me because I was always so busy with soccer and never had time to work. "You need to make a decision" said Dave. I made a decision, and worked...once that week. Now that it's summer, my time has cleared up a little and I'm back to work. It isn't that bad, I still get time to hang out.. I'm not making as much as the rest of my friends, but all I need is just a little extra cash.

Soccer: wow, big change here. At the end of the school year, something happened with my team. It all came as a big shock, and I'm still a little confused. I have found a team though and I love it. They are called Impact Black. They tied for second in the state last season so I was a little shocked when I made it, then I was scared to start practicing..but it's been good. The girls are sooo nice. The coach's main thing with the team is that all of the girl's get along, no cliques or anything. They were so welcoming and there is no drama on the team...for the few weeks I've been on it. The only downside...they practice in Sugarhouse. My parents are so grateful I now have my license. I guess it isn't too bad. I like driving, and i blast my music so it's fun..the only part i don't like is having to leave so early when I'm having fun with people.

I was also supposed to be going to San Francisco with my family in 2 weeks..and my dear friend Katie was going to be going at the same time with her daddy but things have changed! I'm going to Vegas! Again! This is the 3rd time in a year. I went in Nov, March, and now July! Boy is it going to be hot. I'm going to die of heat stroke, i can feel it. I thought C-ville was hot. Whew! Anywho, my soccer team is playing in some friendlies with some teams down there..and if they are impressed with us..they are letting us come back for the College Showcase!!! :D My family is still going to SF, I'm a little bummed I can't go since I've never been, but oh well. i'd rather be playing soccer!..even if it is in 120 degree weather..

..so there's about as much update as I feel like giving right now.

Here's an incredibly boring update on my life, and how I'm just as busy now as I am during the school year.


Morganne's week in a nutshell:

SUNDAY: Go to church, become spiritually enlightened, family activities, sometimes fast until I get a headache, ya know.

MONDAY: Wake up at 6, drive through rush-hour traffic clear out to West Valley, babysit(actually, the more specific term is "nanny") two of my cousins, listen to screaming and whining all day, keep my patience, maneuver my way home through rush-hour traffic again, get home around 5:30, maybe make something of my social life, or go to the gym with Alyssa, come home, shower, go to bed.

TUESDAY: Go to the gym sometime before noon, shower, get ready for work, leave for the Bakery around 2 or 3, leave work at 4:30 to go to soccer practice, become an expert at soccer from 5:30-8:00, come back to work around 8:30, stay until I'm done, usually around 11, or later, come home, shower, go to bed.

WEDNESDAY: Wake up at 6(again), drive through rush-hour traffic clear out to West Valley....pretty much just the same as Monday.

THURSDAY: Wake up at 6(yes, again), leave my house around 7, drive through rush-hour traffic clear out to West Valley, babysit two of my cousins, listen to screaming and whining all day, keep my patience, maneuver my way to soccer practice by 5:30, leave soccer at 8, get home around 8:30, catch a breath, shower, go to bed.

FRIDAY: Go to the gym sometime before noon, shower, get ready for work, go to the Bakery around 1, 2, or 3, get finished whenever I'm done, try(once again) to make something of my social life.

SATURDAY: Wake up around 8:30, get ready for work, go to Dick's around 9:45, leave whenever we're done(usually around 2 or so), come home, attend whatever fun festivity is planned for the night, come home, sleep.


Rinse and Repeat.




p.s.(this is forgetting to include when I have to... eat, do my daily "chores", dentist/doctor appointments, babysitting younger siblings, running errands, shopping online, blogging, etc.)
