A Taste of Reality

Ok, so yeah, I know. I know. American Idol is pretty much a lame show to a lot of people, but tonight, the finale, it served as a small lesson to me, and frankly, all of America. It feels like a punch in the gut, because when David Cook, a somewhat sketchy individual/bartender, beat David Archuleta, a positive and uplifting role model for anyone, it shows how much the "way of the world" is influenced in everything anyone does. I don't know about you, but to me, even if Archuleta was completely awful, I'd rather have him "go big" than someone who will turn out like all the rest of America's up-and-coming stars, and become a negative icon. It forces me to come to a realization of what the world continues to challenge us with, and how hard it can be to 'be yourself', whether you're declared a 'winner', or not.

Sorry to be so deep about something so dumb....

Sorry, I made it seem like David Cook sucked...which he completely didn't. I'm just a little biased. :)

K Morganne, I don't think American Idol deserves even a post on a blog. Regardless of who wins, few are ever heard of again. So in conclusion, the show amounts to absolutely nothing! (Sry, I just have a very strong disliking to that show).
